CARTA Visitors Map

Charleston, South Carolina is not only an extremely beautiful city but also a very historical location. With the staggering number of tourists to the area, bus transportation becomes essential. CARTA developed two well-organized and visually intensive visitors maps (a trolley and bus map). On each side is a color-coded route map with matching color coded location pictures and descriptions of the abundant yet essential tourist sites to visit. CARTA teamed up with the Charleston Convention and Visitors Bureau to increase reach. Maps were available in the Visitor Transportation and Reception Center and in local hotels and stores. 800,000 visitors went through the Reception Center and 50,000 were distributed from the local hotels and businesses.
